Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 13, 2026

1. Information We Collect

Scan inputs: When you run a free scan, we collect the idea description or URL you submit. This is used to generate your market analysis.

Account information: When you create an account to purchase a brief, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (via Google OAuth or email OTP).

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details — Stripe handles this securely.

Usage data: We collect information about how you use the Service, including scans you run, briefs you purchase, and pages you view.

2. Public Visibility of Scan Data

This is important — please read carefully.

When you run a free scan, the AI identifies a market category from your input (e.g., "Email Verification APIs"). This category, along with the Signal Score and market label, becomes publicly visible on our website after a 5-minute grace period.

What is made public:

  • The market category (a generalized label, not your exact input)
  • The Signal Score (0–100) and market label (e.g., "Competitive")
  • The date of the scan

What is NOT made public:

  • Your exact idea description or URL input
  • Your identity, email, or account information
  • The full brief content (competitors, analysis, recommendations) — this is only visible to users who purchase it

To prevent the market category from appearing publicly, you must purchase the Private Brief option ($19) within 5 minutes of running your scan. After 5 minutes, the category becomes permanently public.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Generate market analysis, Signal Scores, and briefs
  • Process payments for brief purchases
  • Display anonymized scan categories on our public feed (unless you purchase privacy)
  • Send transactional emails (account verification, purchase confirmations)
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve the product

4. AI Processing

Your scan inputs and competitor data are sent to AI providers (Anthropic Claude API) for analysis. This includes your idea description, competitor website content, and review data from public platforms. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models (per their API data policy). AI-generated analysis may contain inaccuracies and should not be the sole basis for business decisions.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with:

  • Service providers: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (infrastructure), Resend (email delivery), Anthropic (AI analysis)
  • Public feed: Anonymized market categories from free scans are displayed publicly as described in Section 2
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in secure PostgreSQL databases. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication, and access controls.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data and purchased briefs for as long as your account is active. Free scan data (market categories) may be retained indefinitely on the public feed. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except: (a) anonymized scan categories already on the public feed, and (b) data we are required to retain by law.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Export your purchased briefs
  • Opt out of marketing communications

Note: Once a scan category is published to the public feed (after the 5-minute grace period), it cannot be removed retroactively. To keep your market category private, purchase the Private Brief option within the grace period.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international transfers of personal data.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us at [email protected].
